FrostWire Basics
FrostWire is an open source peer-to-peer file sharing client built from the popular LimeWire client that handles Gnutella protocol and BitTorrent protocol. The FrostWired is developed by a community of developers.

Uses of FrostWires
FrostWire has much of the functionality of LimeWire’s free version, and a few of LimeWire Pro’s payment based upgrades On top of that, FrostWire contains no pop-ups, no nag screens, no inhibiting features. User would not get bombarded by ads. In addition, FrostWire users do not have to worry about simultaneous download restrictions.
FrostWire has some new features. It comes with friendly online chatroom. However, certain LimeWire features such as the instant messenger are not available in FrostWire.
By default, connections of FrostWire are encrypted with TLS. This can be disabled in the preference. More connections can be made using FrostWire client now.
FrostWire uses BitTorrent engine developed by Azureus technology. Before this, a simplified version of LimeWire’s BitTorrent engine was used.
You can now share file between your Android Devices running FrostWire for Android and desktop computers running it through wireless connection. You do not have to preconfigure either device. These devices are discovered automatically if they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
FrostWire is now compatible with iTune.
The skins of FrostWire is improved. There are more skins to choose from.
